This Defender Sentinel Pro kit is a complete 8-channel NVR PoE security system that includes eight metal turret cameras and a pre-installed 1TB hard drive. It is designed for homeowners or small-business owners who want a single-box solution for continuous, motion or scheduled recording at up to 25 FPS without configuring separate power supplies.

Thermals and power

The NVR runs from a DC 48 V, 2 A power supply and delivers both data and power to every camera over standard Ethernet cables, so no extra mains outlets are needed at the camera locations. Each turret camera carries an IP66 weather rating, meaning the sealed aluminium housings handle rain, dust and temperature swings without fan noise or overheating concerns.

Build and connectivity

Eight RJ-45 ports on the recorder accept the bundled cameras and support ONVIF for integration with third-party surveillance platforms, while video output is provided through one HDMI and one VGA port for local monitoring. Footage can be backed up via USB, and remote viewing is handled exclusively through the Defender Empower app, which is the only supported mobile client for this system.
