System-specific DDR5 ECC RDIMM kit

This 512GB kit contains sixteen 32GB DDR5 4800 registered DIMMs built for the Thinkmate Supermicro SuperServer 521C-NR. Each module runs at 1.1V with CL40 latency and 1Rx4 organisation. ECC and register buffering protect data integrity in continuous server workloads.

DDR5 4800 registered DIMM constraints

The PC5-38400 standard sets a 4800MT/s ceiling and requires a motherboard that supports registered ECC DDR5 at 1.1V. Bandwidth and latency are fixed by the JEDEC profile; no higher speed or lower latency is available without platform support for faster DDR5 grades. Mixed populations may force the system to run at a lower common speed.

Replaces smaller or slower DDR5 kits

Upgrading from a partial fill or lower-capacity DDR5 4800 kit adds 512GB in a single matched set, eliminating mixed-rank timing penalties. The jump is worth it when workloads exceed current memory capacity or when replacing mixed-vendor modules that cause instability. It does not help systems limited to fewer than sixteen slots or platforms that only accept unbuffered memory.
