DDR5 4800 CL40 specification

The module runs at the JEDEC-standard DDR5 4800 speed with a CAS latency of 40 cycles at 1.1 V. That exact speed and latency combination is the deciding factor for compatibility with the listed TerraMaster models. A different data rate or latency would prevent the NAS from booting or force it to run at a lower speed. The 262-pin form factor fits only DDR5 SODIMM slots.

Sustained-load behaviour

Because the module is unbuffered and lacks a heat spreader, it relies on the NAS chassis airflow to maintain the 1.1 V operating voltage during long compile jobs or continuous backup streams. JEDEC compliance ensures the DRAM stays within spec during extended use. Systems that restrict airflow or stack multiple modules tightly may see higher temperatures than open-bench tests show.
