The AM5 platform supports Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series processors with robust 18+2+2 power stages rated at 110A each. Integrated Wi-Fi 7 and dual 5Gbps and 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports provide high-throughput networking.
Four DDR5 slots accept up to 256GB of memory running at 8200+ MT/s with Ryzen 9000 chips. Three onboard PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots and two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots deliver substantial bandwidth for OS and data drives. The 170W CPU and 128MB L3 cache handle heavy multithreaded workloads before thermal limits become the bottleneck.
Builders moving from a 7000-series CPU gain the 9950X3D's larger cache and Zen 5 architecture for AI and gaming gains.
