Dual-Socket 1U Server

The Dell PowerEdge R640 is a 1U rack server built for dense scale-out data center deployments. It ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 6134 processors running at 3.2 GHz with eight cores each. The system includes 256 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory across eight 32 GB modules. This configuration targets virtualization, database and high-performance computing workloads.

Hot-Swap Storage and Network Daughter Card

Eight 2.5-inch SAS/SATA hot-swap drive bays connect to a Dell PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache and battery backup. The controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode.
