Dual-Socket 1U Server

The Dell PowerEdge R640 is a 1U rack server built for dense scale-out data center deployments. It ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 6134 processors running at 3.2 GHz with eight cores each. The system includes 256 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory across eight 32 GB modules. This configuration targets virtualization, database and high-performance computing workloads.

Hot-Swap Storage and Network Daughter Card

Eight 2.5-inch SAS/SATA hot-swap drive bays connect to a Dell PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache and battery backup. The controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. A quad-port Intel X520/I350 daughter card provides two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ network connections. iDRAC9 Enterprise enables full remote management and monitoring.

Redundant Platinum Power Supplies

Two hot-swap 750 W Platinum-efficiency power supplies deliver redundant power with automatic failover. The 1U chassis uses front-to-rear airflow designed for standard rack cooling. Ready Rails and a front bezel are included for quick rack installation. The platform supports up to 3 TB of memory across 24 DIMM slots for future expansion.
