The HP ProLiant DL380 Gen9 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2630v3 eight-core processors running at 2.4 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory across 24 DIMM slots and includes a Smart Array P440 controller with 4 GB flash-backed write cache. Two 1 TB 7.2K 2.5-inch SAS drives are installed in the 24-bay SFF chassis.

Expandable storage and redundant power

The chassis provides 24 SFF drive bays with an option to add a rear two-bay cage for additional capacity. The P440 controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across 12 Gb/s and 6 Gb/s SAS links. Dual hot-swap 500 W power supplies deliver redundancy without shutting down the system. No operating system is included, leaving the software choice to the administrator.

Efficient cooling in a dense form factor

The 2U height packs dual processors, memory and storage into a compact rack footprint while maintaining airflow through the front-to-rear design.
