The HP ProLiant DL380 Gen9 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2630v3 eight-core processors running at 2.4 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory across 24 DIMM slots and includes a Smart Array P440 controller with 4 GB flash-backed write cache. The chassis provides 24 SFF drive bays with an option to add a rear two-bay cage for additional capacity. The P440 controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across 12 Gb/s and 6 Gb/s SAS links. Dual hot-swap 500 W power supplies deliver redundancy without shutting down the system. No operating system is included, leaving the software choice to the administrator.

The 2U height packs dual processors, memory and storage into a compact rack footprint while maintaining airflow through the front-to-rear design.
