Installs into a supported c-Class enclosure

The blade slides into an HPE c-Class chassis and connects through its mid-plane for power, cooling and networking. No cable routing is required inside the blade itself. The main installation risk is firmware mismatch between the blade iLO, the Onboard Administrator and the enclosure interconnect modules; all firmware should be aligned before the blade joins a production cluster.

Limited to two 2.5-inch drive bays

The server accepts only two 2.5-inch SAS drives, so raw local capacity tops out at 1.8 TB with the supplied 900 GB units. Memory slots are fully populated at 128 GB, leaving no room for expansion without removing existing modules. The integrated FlexFabric 20 Gb 2-port adapter provides network connectivity, but additional mezzanine cards would be needed for Fibre Channel or extra Ethernet ports.
