Dual HR8825 Stepper HAT
The HRB8825 is a stackable motion control board that plugs directly into the 40-pin header of any Raspberry Pi or Jetson Nano. Two independent HR8825 driver ICs each drive a 4-wire bipolar stepper motor, giving makers and engineers a compact way to add coordinated X/Y movement to 3D printers, CNC engravers or robotic arms.
Microstepping and current limits
Six DIP-switch settings select step resolutions from full step up to 1/32 microstepping, reducing vibration at low speeds. Each channel peaks at 2.5A and carries a dedicated potentiometer to match the current to the motor, while the motor supply accepts 8.2V to 28V DC from common 12V or 24V adapters.
2.5A per channel output
The single specification that decides fit is the 2.5A peak per channel; motors requiring more current will overheat the drivers. Builders needing three or more axes, or motors rated above this current, must choose a different controller.
