This 192GB kit contains six 32GB DDR4 LRDIMM modules built for Dell PowerEdge 13th generation rack servers. It targets administrators upgrading R430, R530, R630, R730, R730xd, R830 or R930 platforms that require ECC load-reduced memory. The modules operate at 1.2V with a CL15 latency rating. Buyers needing non-ECC unbuffered DIMMs for workstations cannot use this product.
The DDR4 2133 standard caps transfer rates at PC4-17000, so the kit runs at the speed of the slowest module installed. Mixing ECC load-reduced with ECC registered DIMMs is not supported; all populated slots must share the same ECC type. System documentation dictates the correct channel population order for quad-rank 4Rx4 modules. Servers that only accept registered DIMMs will not accept these load-reduced modules.
Each module uses a 288-pin DDR4 form factor without a heat spreader, relying on server chassis airflow for cooling. The quad-rank 4Rx4 organisation increases density per slot but requires the memory controller to support load-reduced buffering. Six modules fill multiple channels on compatible PowerEdge models, so installers must follow the vendor seating guide to avoid boot failures.
