PowerEdge T430 5U server

The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack-mount server built for small-office and remote-office workloads. It ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2667 v4 processors running at 3.2 GHz with a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 64 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory across four 16 GB modules. Eight 8 TB 7.2K SATA 3.5-inch drives provide 64 TB of raw storage capacity.

Build integration needs

The chassis occupies 5U of rack space and uses an LGA 2011-3 socket platform with the Intel C610 chipset. Twelve memory slots are available, allowing expansion up to 384 GB of DDR4. Dual 750 W platinum-efficiency power supplies deliver redundant hot-swap power. The PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache manages the eight drive bays over SAS and SATA interfaces. Integrated dual-port 1 GbE networking and iDRAC 8 Express remote management are onboard.

Bundled controller and drives

The PERC H730 1 GB controller enables RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode for flexible data protection. Eight enterprise-class 8 TB SATA drives are pre-installed and ready for array configuration. iDRAC 8 Express provides out-of-band monitoring and control without an additional licence. The front bezel is included for a finished rack appearance. Plastic feet are not supplied.
