The unit ships with 512 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across 16 slots and a PERC H330 controller managing two 960 GB SATA SSDs. A Broadcom 57810S-K dual-port 10 Gb daughter card handles networking.

The jump makes sense when workloads exceed the core count or memory ceiling of a single-processor blade. Adding the second Gold 6230 raises the ceiling to 40 cores and 512 GB, while the chassis supports up to 56 cores per server and 1.5 TB of DDR4.
