B140i software RAID and eight SFF bays

The onboard B140i controller manages the two installed 500 GB 7.2 K SATA drives in RAID 0, 1, 5 or 10 without a separate card. Six additional 2.5-inch bays remain open for capacity growth, but only SATA media are supported by this controller. No operating system is included.

All 24 DIMM slots are populated to the processor-limited maximum of 128 GB, leaving no room for further RAM expansion without replacing modules.
