The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 fits two Xeon E5-2620 v3 processors and 128 GB of DDR4 into a single rack unit. Twelve cores per socket and hyper-threading give 24 logical threads for virtualisation hosts or database nodes. Redundant 500 W supplies keep the platform running through a single power failure.

B140i software RAID and eight SFF bays

The onboard B140i controller manages the two installed 500 GB 7.2 K SATA drives in RAID 0, 1, 5 or 10 without a separate card. Six additional 2.5-inch bays remain open for capacity growth, but only SATA media are supported by this controller. No operating system is included.

Memory ceiling reached at 128 GB

All 24 DIMM slots are populated to the processor-limited maximum of 128 GB, leaving no room for further RAM expansion without replacing modules. The dual 2.4 GHz six-core CPUs handle moderate multi-threaded workloads, yet heavier analytics or larger VM densities will hit the core and memory ceiling quickly.
