The iStarUSA D-230HN-T is a 2U rackmount server chassis built from aluminium and steel. It accepts microATX or mini-ITX motherboards up to 9.6 x 9.6 inches and provides three trayless 3.5-inch hot-swap bays at the front. The unit can be used in a rack or stood upright on a desktop.
Upgrade from fixed-cage cases
Swapping from a chassis that requires drive trays and screws lets you exchange drives in seconds without tools. The jump is worth it when uptime matters and you need to replace or rotate SAS or SATA drives while the system stays powered on.
Four drives total with low-profile expansion
Three hot-swap bays plus one internal 3.5-inch bay and one internal 2.5-inch bay give room for four drives. Four low-profile expansion slots handle add-in cards such as RAID controllers or NICs. The single 80mm fan and front USB 3.0 ports cover basic airflow and peripheral access.
