The MAG X870E GAMING PLUS MAX WIFI is an ATX motherboard built on the AMD X870E chipset with an AM5 socket. It supports Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 series desktop processors. A 14 phase Duet Rail power system rated at 60A SPS plus a 64MB BIOS ROM provides a stable foundation for high-core-count CPUs and future upgrades.
Four DDR5 slots accept up to 256GB running at 8200+ MT/s with 1DPC 1R EXPO profiles, or 5600 MT/s JEDEC baseline. The primary PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and the top M.2_1 slot both run at Gen 5 speeds from the CPU, delivering 128GB/s bandwidth for the latest graphics cards and SSDs. A second x16 slot and two additional M.2 slots operate at PCIe 4.0.
Ryzen 9000 and 7000 series enable full PCIe 5.0 x16 on the primary slot, while 8700, 8600 and 8400 series drop to 4.0 x8. Verify your cooler clears the extended heatsinks and that the power supply provides dual 8-pin EPS connectors for the 14 phase VRM. The rear I/O includes Wi-Fi 7, 5G LAN, 7.1 audio via ALC897 and four SATA 6G ports.
