Sustained operation with external 65 W adapter

Under continuous access with all bays populated the enclosure draws 18.21 W, dropping to 4.17 W when the drives enter hibernation. The external 65 W power adapter handles the load across a 100-240 V range, so thermal output remains modest in a 0-40 °C ambient window. Hardware RAID rebuilds and parity calculations run on the dedicated microprocessor rather than the host CPU, keeping performance steady during long write sessions.

Check host port and drive selection before ordering

Your host must provide a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C or USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C connection and run Windows 8.1 or later, macOS 10.11 or later, or QTS 4.3.6 and later on a Qnap NAS. Drives are not included; only 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA HDDs and 2.5-inch SATA SSDs are supported. The package supplies drive-tray keys, mounting screws for both form factors and a Kensington lock slot for physical security.
