3.5-Inch IDE-to-SATA Bridge
This adapter card converts a legacy parallel IDE interface to a serial SATA connection. It lets you reuse functional IDE optical drives and 3.5-inch IDE hard drives on motherboards that lack native IDE ports. The board mounts in a standard 3.5-inch drive bay for a tidy internal installation.
Plug-and-Play Signal Conversion
No driver installation is required; the operating system identifies the connected IDE device automatically after the hardware connection is made. The design supports normal read and write operations for compatible IDE CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, and mechanical hard drives. An optimized PCB layout minimizes electromagnetic interference to maintain stable bidirectional data transmission.
Upgrade Path for Legacy Storage
This replaces the need for a motherboard with an onboard IDE controller or a separate PCI IDE expansion card. The jump is worthwhile when you have working IDE drives or optical media to access but your current or planned motherboard only provides SATA ports. It is not suited for users needing to connect SATA drives to an IDE-only system or for laptop 2.5-inch IDE drives without a separate bracket.

Jautājumi par šo preci
Should I choose this 3.5-inch adapter or a different form factor for my desktop case?
The adapter uses a standard 3.5-inch mounting frame that fits directly into a desktop hard-drive bay, so no extra brackets are needed.
What transfer speed will I actually see when I connect an old IDE drive through this card?
The adapter bridges parallel IDE to serial SATA, so real-world throughput is limited by the IDE drive itself — typically well below the SATA interface ceiling.
Does this converter use a standard SATA interface, and what does that limit in practice?
It presents a regular SATA data port to the motherboard, meaning the connection is capped by the legacy IDE device’s own maximum transfer rate.
