The Solidigm D7-PS1030 is a U.2 15mm drive built for data-centre servers that demand high throughput and certified security. It delivers 6.4TB of 176L TLC 3D NAND storage over a PCIe 5.0 x4 link with FIPS compliance.

Suited for write-heavy workloads, not for light use

This drive targets applications that sustain heavy mixed read and write traffic such as databases, caching tiers and virtualised infrastructure. It is not aimed at desktop PCs, consumer laptops or any platform that cannot supply a U.2 15mm bay with PCIe 5.0 signalling and adequate cooling.

6.4TB capacity with 3 DWPD endurance

The 6.4TB addressable space supports sequential reads up to 14500 MBps and writes up to 10000 MBps while random 4K performance reaches 3000000 read IOPS and 800000 write IOPS. At 3 DWPD the warranty covers 35 PBW, beyond which the NAND wear budget is exhausted.
