The Synology DS1621+ is a diskless 6-bay desktop NAS built around an AMD Ryzen V1500B quad-core 2.2 GHz processor with 4GB DDR4 installed. It targets small businesses and advanced home users who need centralised file storage, backup and collaboration services with room to scale. Two DDR4 SODIMM slots support up to 32GB total memory for heavier workloads.

108 TB raw capacity with M.2 cache headroom

Six SATA drive bays accept 3.5" HDDs, 2.5" HDDs, 2.5" SSDs and M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs, reaching a maximum raw capacity of 108 TB. Dual M.2 2280 slots add NVMe read/write caching to accelerate HDD arrays.
