This 512GB kit contains eight 64GB DDR4 2133MHz modules built for Dell PowerEdge 13th generation rack servers. It targets administrators expanding memory in R430, R530, R630, R630 XL, R730, R730 XL, R730xd, R730xd XL, R830 or R930 platforms. The modules are ECC load-reduced DIMMs and will not work in desktops, laptops or systems that require unbuffered non-ECC memory.
Each module uses a 4Rx4 layout, placing four ranks of x4 chips on a single 288-pin PCB. This rank density is the specification that determines whether the server’s memory controller can address the full 512GB capacity. Mixing these LRDIMMs with registered DIMMs is not supported; all installed modules must share the same ECC type.
Operating at 1.20V with CL15 latency, the kit runs at the speed of the slowest module installed, so consistent throughput depends on uniform population across channels. Load-reduced buffering reduces electrical load on the memory bus, helping maintain signal integrity when all eight slots are populated under continuous multi-threaded workloads.
