The AvalonMiner 1246 is a Bitcoin ASIC miner built for the SHA-256 algorithm with a maximum hashrate of 85 TH/s. It draws 3420 W and achieves a power efficiency of 38 J/TH. The unit targets operators who want a single integrated chassis for high-density Bitcoin mining.
Installation and common issues
The power supply is integrated into the enclosure so no separate PSU cabling is required. The miner requires a 220 V input; applying the wrong voltage can damage the hardware. Four 12 V 4.5 A fans handle cooling and produce a noise level of 75 dB. The operating temperature range is -5 °C to 35 °C with humidity between 5 % and 95 %.
Ethernet interface and practical limits
