Threadripper sTR4 platform
The ASRock X399 Phantom Gaming 6 motherboard accepts AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors in the sTR4 socket. The AMD X399 chipset exposes quad-channel memory and generous PCI Express lanes for multi-GPU or storage arrays. It targets workstations that need high core counts and abundant I/O.
180 W sustained delivery
The board is rated for CPUs up to 180 W, so the voltage regulators are built to handle prolonged heavy loads without throttling. Quad-channel DDR4 runs at 2133, 2400, 2667, 2933, 3200 or 3400 MT/s depending on the modules installed. Three full-length PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots keep graphics or compute cards fed with data during long renders.
PCIe 3.0 and M.2 Gen3 x4 limits
The Ultra M.2 socket (M2_1) supports M-key modules up to 22110 at PCI Express 3.0 x4, capping sequential throughput at 32 Gb/s. A second Ultra M.2 socket (M2_2) takes 2242, 2260 or 2280 drives at the same Gen3 x4 ceiling. Eight SATA3 6.0 Gb/s ports provide RAID 0, 1 and 10 for bulk storage.
