The Clover CG9S is a battery-powered wireless camera that records 2K video through a 150° field of view. Magnetic mounting lets renters and homeowners place it indoors or outdoors without drilling. The Vicohome app provides live viewing, two-way audio and AI motion alerts that distinguish people, pets and vehicles. Local storage on a microSD card up to 128 GB is supported alongside optional cloud recording.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The unit draws 3.7 Wh from its internal battery during normal operation, so no mains wiring is required. An IP65 rating confirms protection against dust and water jets in typical outdoor conditions. With no moving parts the camera runs silently, and the infrared LEDs illuminate subjects up to 30 ft at night without audible fan noise. Dual spotlights and a built-in siren activate only when triggered, keeping standby power minimal.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Recording occurs only when motion or AI detection fires, so continuous 24/7 capture is not supported. During extended alert sequences the battery will deplete faster than in idle standby, and the 128 GB card will overwrite oldest clips once full. The magnetic base holds firmly in wind and vibration, but extreme cold may reduce battery runtime below the nominal figure. Multi-user app sharing remains responsive as long as the Wi-Fi link stays stable.
