The Dell PowerEdge R650xs is a 1U rack server built for dense compute environments. It ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 5317 processors, each running 12 cores at 3.0 GHz with a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 64 GB of DDR4-2933 registered ECC memory across four 16 GB modules. Ten 1.92 TB SATA SSDs provide high-capacity flash storage in a compact form factor.

PERC H745 RAID with Hot-Swap Bays

The front-loading 2.5-inch drive bays connect to a Dell PERC H745 controller with 4 GB non-volatile cache and battery backup. This controller supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60, allowing flexible redundancy or performance layouts. Redundant hot-swap 1400 W platinum power supplies and included ready rails simplify installation and ongoing maintenance without downtime.

Dual 10 GbE and iDRAC9 Enterprise

A Broadcom 57412 dual-port 10 GbE SFP+ OCP 3.0 adapter handles high-throughput networking for virtualization or storage traffic. Integrated iDRAC9 Enterprise provides full remote management, monitoring and lifecycle automation. The 1U chassis uses front-to-rear airflow designed for standard rack cooling, while platinum-efficiency power supplies reduce waste heat under typical loads.
