2U Rack Server for Dense Storage

The Dell PowerEdge R740xd is a 2U rack server designed for environments that need high storage density in a compact form factor. It ships with two Intel Xeon Silver 4110 processors running at 2.1 GHz with eight cores each. The system includes 768 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across 24 slots. Twenty-four 300 GB 10K SAS drives fill the 2.5-inch bays, managed by a PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache.
