Dual-socket 2U rack server for enterprise workloads

The Dell PowerEdge R760 fits in a standard 2U rack space and ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 5418Y processors. Each CPU runs at 2.0GHz with a 3.8GHz turbo frequency and provides 24 cores, giving 48 cores in total. The system includes 768GB of DDR5-4800 ECC registered memory across 24 modules. It is built for virtualization, databases, AI inference, and software-defined storage clusters.

Sixteen 2.5-inch bays

The chassis holds 16 hot-swap 2.5-inch drive bays that accept SAS, SATA, and NVMe media. A Dell PERC H965i controller with 8GB of non-volatile cache manages RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60 across those bays. Only four drive trays are included, so additional trays are needed to populate every slot. Networking is handled by a Broadcom 5720 quad-port 1GbE OCP 3.0 card.

Memory capacity ceiling of 8TB across 32 DDR5 slots

The platform supports up to 8TB of DDR5 ECC registered memory when all 32 DIMM slots are filled. The current 768GB configuration leaves headroom for future expansion without replacing existing modules.
