The GEEKOM Mini IT12 packs a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12450H processor with 8 cores and 12 threads into a 4.6 x 4.4 x 1.8 inch chassis. It ships with 16 GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory and a 512 GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, making it ready for office workloads, home media or light development tasks straight out of the box.

Build integration and expansion

The system draws power from an external adapter, leaving the internal volume free for storage upgrades. One M.2 2280 slot supports PCIe Gen 4 x4 SSDs up to 2 TB, a second M.2 2242 slot accepts SATA SSDs up to 1 TB, and a 2.5 inch bay holds a 7 mm SATA drive up to 2 TB. Dual-channel DDR4 SODIMMs can be expanded to 64 GB. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, 2.5 GbE LAN, USB 4.0 and video outputs capable of 8K resolution.

Upgrade context

Buyers replacing an older mini PC or a full-size tower gain a silent, VESA-mountable platform that uses a fraction of the desk space and power. The jump is worthwhile when the workload fits within the integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and the CPU thermal envelope. It is not suited for buyers who need discrete GPU performance, more than three internal drives, or memory types other than DDR4.
