The HP Z2 G4 is a new mid-tower desktop built around an Intel Core i7-9700 processor with eight cores running at 3.0 GHz and a 4.7 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 2666 memory and a 4 TB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive. Professional graphics are provided by an NVIDIA Quadro P600 card equipped with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory. The system comes with Windows 11 Pro 64-bit already activated.

The NVIDIA Quadro P600 adds four Mini DisplayPort 1.4 outputs, enabling up to four high-resolution displays from a single card. Its 2 GB of GDDR5 memory and 128-bit interface are tuned for certified professional applications such as CAD, DCC and visualisation workloads. The workstation also includes integrated Intel I219-LM Gigabit Ethernet and Conexant CX20632 5.1 high-definition audio for wired networking and multichannel sound without extra hardware.

A 500-watt power supply rated at 90 percent efficiency delivers power to the motherboard, graphics card and storage. The motherboard uses the LGA 1151 socket and supports up to 128 GB of DDR4 memory across its slots. No monitor is included, so a display with a Mini DisplayPort or suitable adapter must be available.
