The HP Z2 G4 Mid-Tower is a business desktop built around an Intel Core i7-9700 3.0GHz processor with 4.7GHz turbo across eight cores. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 2666MHz memory and a 500GB NVMe SSD provide fast application loading and responsive multitasking. Limits of the LGA 1151 platform and Quadro P1000

The motherboard uses the LGA 1151 socket and supports a maximum of 128GB of DDR4 memory. The Quadro P1000 connects through a PCIe slot and delivers four mini DisplayPort 1.4 connectors, so monitors without that input will need adapters. Integrated Intel I219-LM Gigabit Ethernet tops out at 10/100/1000 speeds and there is no onboard Wi-Fi or Bluetooth listed. The 500W power supply is rated at 90% efficiency and may restrict future high-power GPU upgrades.

Mid-tower chassis with front-accessible bays

The black mid-tower case includes front-accessible drive bays and standard expansion slots for add-in cards. Four mini DisplayPort 1.4 outputs on the graphics card mean cable routing stays at the rear of the system. A 500W 90% efficient power supply and integrated 5.1 high-definition audio are built in. No monitor is included, so buyers must supply their own display.
