The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 arrives with two Intel Xeon 5118 processors running at 2.3GHz and 512GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory installed across its 24 DIMM slots. The platform supports up to 3TB total capacity when all slots are populated with compatible modules. Remote management is handled through HPE iLO Advanced for out-of-band control.

Expands from single-socket

Moving from a single Xeon 5118 system or a dual-processor build with less than 512GB RAM adds 12 additional cores and 16.5MB cache per socket alongside the full memory complement. The jump is worth it when virtualisation density, in-memory databases or large-scale analytics exceed the capacity or core count of the previous platform. Storage is not included; the Smart Array P408 controller manages up to eight 2.5-inch SAS drives added separately.

Sustained operation with redundant power

Dual 500W Flex Slot power supplies provide redundancy during continuous multi-threaded workloads across the 24 total cores. BIOS and firmware are updated to the latest stable version before shipment and each unit completes a full burn-in test to verify thermal stability under load. The 2U rack form factor fits standard enclosures without requiring proprietary rails or non-standard clearances.
