7-inch 800x480 capacitive touch display
This 7-inch development board combines an 800x480 LCD panel with capacitive touch input. It is designed for Raspberry Pi, Banana Pi, Banana Pro and BeagleBone Black projects that need a compact interactive screen.
HDMI interface and driver requirements
The display connects over HDMI and draws video from any source with that output. Pre-built images are supplied for Raspberry Pi, Banana boards and BeagleBone Black, but other mini-PCs require the user to write their own driver. Without a suitable driver the touch layer will not function.
Mounting and integration notes
A bicolour holder case is included for basic mounting. Builders must provide their own HDMI cable and ensure the host board can supply sufficient USB power for the touch controller. The panel is not suited for headless server racks or installations that lack an HDMI port.

Soalan tentang produk ini
Should I choose the 800x480 version or a different resolution for my Raspberry Pi?
This board only comes in 800x480, so there is no alternative resolution to select.
How does the 800x480 panel look when driven by a Raspberry Pi desktop?
The 800x480 pixels give a usable desktop on the Pi, though text and icons appear smaller than on larger monitors.
What does the HDMI connection limit in practice?
HDMI carries both video and touch data, so the display works as a standard monitor and touch input without extra cables.
