128GB DDR4 ECC RDIMM kit for MSI WRX80

This 128GB kit contains eight 16GB DDR4 3200 registered DIMMs built for the MSI WS WRX80 motherboard. ECC and registered buffering protect data integrity in server and workstation workloads. DDR4 3200 registered ECC limits

Registered DIMMs add a clock cycle of buffering so the memory controller sees a lighter electrical load, but the buffer also caps maximum speed at the rated 3200 MT/s. ECC correction handles single-bit errors and detects double-bit errors without software intervention. Systems that require unbuffered non-ECC memory cannot use these modules.

Eight 288-pin modules without spreaders

Each stick uses a standard 288-pin DDR4 RDIMM edge connector and 2Rx4 organisation with major OEM chips from Samsung Micron or Hynix. The absence of heat spreaders keeps the profile low for dense server chassis but leaves the DRAM exposed to airflow. Installers must populate all eight slots on the WRX80 board to reach the full 128GB capacity.
