128 GB DDR5 ECC RDIMM kit for SuperMicro servers

This 128 GB kit contains eight 16 GB DDR5 4800 registered DIMMs with ECC and a CL40 latency. It targets IT professionals who need validated memory for SuperMicro SYS-111C-NR, SYS-521C-NR or X13SEDW-F platforms. The modules run at 1.10 V and use 1Rx8 organisation. Buyers who need non-ECC or unbuffered memory for consumer boards cannot use this kit.

Installation follows standard 288-pin DDR5 RDIMM

Align the notch, press firmly until the retention clips engage, and populate slots according to the motherboard manual for the correct channel order. The registered buffer adds a slight insertion force compared with unbuffered modules. A common error is mixing this kit with existing RDIMMs of different rank or speed, which can prevent the system from posting.

DDR5 4800 sets the maximum transfer rate

The memory controller on the supported SuperMicro platforms will not exceed this data rate, so faster modules would down-clock automatically. ECC correction adds a small latency overhead that is inherent to the registered design. Systems requiring higher bandwidth or lower latency than the 4800 MT/s specification must choose a platform that supports faster DDR5 grades.
