48 GB DDR4 ECC RDIMM kit for Thinkmate QF4-14TP

This 48 GB kit contains six 8 GB DDR4 3200 registered DIMMs with ECC and a CAS latency of CL22. It is built for the Thinkmate QF4-14TP workstation and runs at 1.2 V. The modules use major OEM chips from Samsung, Micron or Hynix.

Registered DDR4 3200 limits capacity per channel

Registered DDR4 3200 modules add a register that buffers address and command signals, allowing higher densities per channel than unbuffered memory. The trade-off is one extra clock cycle of latency compared with unbuffered equivalents. System memory controllers must support registered ECC DIMMs; consumer platforms that accept only unbuffered non-ECC memory cannot use this kit.

Replaces non-ECC or lower-capacity registered kits

Upgrading from non-ECC unbuffered memory adds single-bit error correction and multi-bit detection for data integrity in critical workloads.
