This OWC kit delivers 512GB of DDR4 memory across four 128GB load-reduced DIMMs. It is built for Supermicro H12DSG-O-CPU, H12DST-B, H12DSU-iN, H12SSL-C and H12SSL-i motherboards in workstation and server roles. The modules will not work in standard desktop systems and cannot be mixed with unbuffered or registered ECC memory.
Each module operates at 1.2V with no heat spreader fitted, relying on chassis airflow for cooling. Load-reduced buffering lowers electrical load on the memory controller, helping keep power draw predictable under sustained server workloads. JEDEC-standard signalling at 3200MHz CL22 maintains stable operation without raising voltage.
The 288-pin form factor seats in standard DDR4 server slots, and the four-module pack fills all channels on supported dual-socket boards. Backward compatibility with 2133, 2400, 2666 and 2933MHz buses allows deployment in older Supermicro platforms without BIOS changes. ECC load-reduced architecture protects data integrity in multi-threaded, mission-critical applications.
