This single 64GB DDR4 3200 CL22 2Rx4 288-pin ECC Registered RDIMM is built for Gigabyte G242-P34, G242-P35, G242-P36, G242-Z10 and G242-Z11 platforms. It delivers 1.2V JEDEC-standard operation with error-correcting code and registered buffering for data integrity in multi-tasking workloads. The module targets administrators upgrading compatible workstations, servers or NAS systems. Buyers needing unbuffered desktop memory or load-reduced DIMMs cannot use this product.
The registered buffer adds one clock cycle of latency and requires a motherboard chipset that supports registered DIMMs; standard consumer desktop boards will not post with this module. Mixing with unbuffered or load-reduced ECC memory is not supported and will prevent boot or cause instability. Backward compatibility covers 2133, 2400, 2666 and 2933 MT/s speeds when the platform dictates a lower data rate. Systems lacking registered ECC support in the memory controller are excluded.
A single 64GB stick lets compatible dual-socket boards reach high aggregate memory totals without consuming every slot, supporting dense virtual-machine deployments and large in-memory databases.
