The Solidigm D5-P5316 is a 15.36TB enterprise solid-state drive built on 144L QLC 3D NAND. It uses the E1.L 9.5mm form factor and connects through a PCI-Express 4.0 x4 interface. The drive is designed for read-intensive data centre workloads such as content delivery, analytics and warm storage tiers. It delivers up to 7000 MBps sequential read and 3200 MBps sequential write throughput.
Confirm that the server or storage chassis provides an E1.L 9.5mm drive bay with a PCI-Express 4.0 x4 electrical connection. The platform must supply up to 25W active power and 5W idle power within the 0°C to 70°C operating range. Ensure the system BIOS or firmware recognises the drive capacity and supports Opal security features if encryption management is required.
The E1.L form factor allows high drive counts in 1U or 2U enclosures, freeing physical space compared to larger form factors. Opal hardware encryption secures data at rest without host CPU overhead.
