Dual M.2 NVMe and SATA adapter

This RIITOP controller card adds one M.2 NVMe slot and one M.2 SATA slot to a desktop via a PCIe 4x connection. It targets builders whose motherboards lack native M.2 connectors or need an extra drive without occupying a 2.5 inch bay. The card fits PCIe x4, x8 or x16 slots and does not work in x1 slots.

One NVMe plus one SATA drive

The M key socket runs at PCIe 3.0 4x speeds while the B key socket uses the SATA 3.0 interface capped at 6.0 Gb/s. Ten screw holes accept 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 form factors. A SATA cable to the motherboard is mandatory for the SATA drive; the NVMe drive needs no extra cable. The adapter draws all power from the PCIe slot.

Low-profile bracket and screwdriver included

The bundle supplies a low-profile bracket for slim chassis, a screwdriver and mounting screws. An on-board LED shows power and data activity. Vented gold-finish PCB helps dissipate heat from both SSDs. No driver is required for the adapter itself, though the NVMe SSD vendor may supply its own driver.
