The Acasis TBU405ProMax accepts two M.2 NVMe solid-state drives and connects through a Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 3 port. It is aimed at video editors, photographers and developers who need fast external storage without opening their computer.

A JHL7440 controller provides up to 40 Gbps of aggregate throughput. Software RAID 0 can reach 2800 MB/s while RAID 1 mirrors data for redundancy; each drive alone delivers about 1500 MB/s. The enclosure only works with Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3 or USB4 ports.
