IT professionals and network administrators who need continuous uptime for critical electronics will find its on-line double-conversion topology suited to that role. It is not intended for desktop workstations that only require basic standby protection.

Input and output limits

The unit accepts 80 to 150 V at 40 to 70 Hz through a NEMA 5-15P plug and supplies 120 V at 50 or 60 Hz ± 3 Hz to six NEMA 5-15R outlets. Surge protection is rated at 480 joules. Runtime falls to 10.5 minutes at the full 900 W load and extends to 25.4 minutes at half load, so plan connected equipment accordingly.

Installation and common issues

The 2U chassis mounts in standard racks and the pre-installed network management card enables remote monitoring via RJ-45 10/100, serial, USB or Smart-Slot connections. Battery replacement uses the APCRBC155 cartridge and requires a three-hour recharge after installation. Ensure the rack circuit can supply the 5-15P inlet and verify outlet count matches your device plugs before deployment.
