128 GB DDR4 capacity with quad-channel headroom

Eight 288-pin slots support up to 128 GB of DDR4 running at speeds from 1066 to 3000+(OC) in quad-channel mode. Overclocked modules above 2400 require a CPU with a strong memory controller and careful voltage tuning.

Three PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots operate at x16, x16 and x8 with a 40-lane CPU; a 28-lane CPU drops them to x16, x8, x4 and disables three-way SLI. Two PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots and one mini-PCI Express slot add peripheral connectivity. Ten SATA 6 Gb/s ports and one Ultra M.2 socket (Gen3 x4, 32 Gb/s) provide storage throughput capped by the chipset’s lane allocation and the SATA 6 Gb/s ceiling.
