1200W ATX 3.0 Power Supply

The ASUS ROG Strix 1200W Gold Aura Edition is a fully modular ATX 3.0 power supply rated for 1200W maximum output. It carries 80 PLUS Gold and Cybenetics Lambda A+ certifications for efficiency and low noise. The unit includes a native 16-pin PCIe Gen 5.0 cable alongside four 8-pin PCIe connectors. An aluminium case and large ROG heatsinks couple to the internal transformer to reduce temperatures.

Upgrade from lower-wattage or non-ATX 3.0 units

This supply replaces older units that lack the 16-pin PCIe 5.0 connector or cannot deliver 600W through a single cable to modern graphics cards. The jump is worth it when a build demands 1200W of continuous power with tight voltage regulation and certified quiet operation under load. Builders staying with 8-pin GPU power or systems drawing well under 800W will not use the headroom or the Gen 5 cable.

Check case length and cable routing before ordering

Verify the chassis accepts a 180mm deep PSU and that the 600mm motherboard, 650mm CPU and 675mm PCIe cables reach their headers without strain. The package includes two CPU 4+4-pin cables, one 16-pin to dual 8-pin adapter and SATA cables with 400mm first connectors. Ensure the single 16-pin PCIe 5.0 cable matches the graphics card requirement; cards needing two native 16-pin connectors cannot be powered from this unit.
