This Dell PowerEdge R730xd chassis holds up to 12 large-form-factor drives in a 2U rack footprint. A single Xeon E5-2683 v4 processor with 16 cores at 2.1GHz and 256GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory is already installed. The PERC H730 SAS controller manages RAID across the backplane. Integrated graphics and iDRAC8 Enterprise remote management come standard.

Verify rack depth and power before ordering

The unit measures 36 inches deep so confirm your cabinet can accommodate that length plus cable clearance. Two 1100W power supplies are fitted and require matching PDU outlets. Network connectivity includes two 10GbE and two 1GbE ports; ensure your switch uplinks support those speeds. Only one CPU is populated but the socket for a second processor is open if you plan to expand later.

No drives or rail kit are included

Storage drives must be sourced separately and populated in the 12 hot-swap bays. A rail kit is available on request but does not ship by default. Firmware and BIOS are updated to the latest stable release and the system passes full burn-in testing before dispatch. The iDRAC8 Enterprise licence enables full remote console and lifecycle management without extra keys.
