The Dell EMC PowerEdge R740 arrives as a complete 2U rackmount system with dual Intel Silver 4210R 10-core processors at 2.4GHz and 32GB of DDR4 memory. Eight 1.2TB 10K SAS drives sit behind an H730P RAID controller, giving immediate storage capacity for databases or virtualisation clusters. Integrated iDRAC9 Enterprise provides full remote lifecycle management from day one.

Build quality and daily connectivity

A redundant 1100W power supply keeps the platform running through single-module failures without intervention. The front panel offers eight 2.5-inch drive bays populated with the SAS set, while the rear NDC delivers two 10Gb RJ45 and two 1Gb RJ45 Ethernet links for flexible network segmentation. Up to eight PCIe Gen 3 slots remain available for additional NICs, GPU accelerators or storage controllers. Rails, bezel and power cords are included for rapid rack integration.
