Full-tower ATX chassis with oak front

The Fractal Design North XL is a full-tower ATX case finished in chalk white steel with a solid oak front panel and a clear tempered-glass side window. It accepts E-ATX, ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX motherboards and ships without a power supply. Three 140 mm Aspect PWM fans are pre-installed at the front for immediate airflow.

Sustained thermal behaviour with included fans

The three front-mounted 140 mm Aspect PWM fans feed cool air through the open front and ventilated mesh directly onto components during extended workloads. Top mounts accept 280 mm or 360 mm radiators, while the front supports up to 420 mm units, allowing large liquid-cooling loops to dissipate heat continuously without throttle-inducing temperature spikes. A single rear 120/140 mm mount exhausts the warmed air.

Practical limits of the front-panel I/O

Front I/O provides two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port and combined headphone/microphone jacks for modern peripherals. Graphics-card length is limited to 413 mm when a front fan is fitted, or 380 mm when a 420 mm or 360 mm front radiator occupies that space, defining the maximum card size the chassis can accommodate.
