The installed P440 controller supports 12 Gbps SAS and the CPU is a Xeon E5-2609 v3, so your current 12 Gbps SAS drives will be recognised and can be configured in RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 or 60.

How can I verify the Smart Array P440 4 GB FBWC cache is active after installation?

During POST the P440 option ROM reports the 4 GB flash-backed write cache status; you can also open the Smart Storage Administrator to confirm the FBWC module shows as OK and the cache ratio is set.
