The Lenovo ThinkPad T490 is a new 14.0-inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i7-8550U quad-core processor running at 1.8 GHz. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 128 GB SSD, so the system is immediately usable for office applications, video calls and multi-tab browsing. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed and activated.

Compact chassis with legacy ports

The T490 weighs approximately 3.2 lbs and measures 12.7 by 8.5 by 0.7 inches, making it easy to carry between desks or sites. Connectivity includes three USB 3.1 Type-A ports, one USB-C port, HDMI and a built-in RJ-45 Ethernet jack, so docking, external displays and wired networks need no dongles. The 14.0-inch IPS panel delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution without touch input.

An OEM 45 W or 65 W AC adapter is included, removing the need to source a charger separately. Windows 11 Pro is already installed, cutting first-boot setup time for IT teams or individual users.
