8-Channel Modbus RTU Relay Module

The LORDWORLD module provides eight independently addressable relays controlled over an RS485 bus using the Modbus RTU protocol. Each relay handles loads up to 10A, making the board suitable for switching industrial actuators, lighting circuits or small motors. A configurable device address from 1 to 255 allows many modules to share a single bus.

RS485 bus constraints and cascading

RS485 defines the electrical layer, so cable length, termination and baud rate must be planned by the installer; the module itself does not set those limits. Cascading multiple units is supported through address assignment, but total node count and bus loading remain the responsibility of the system designer. No Ethernet, Wi-Fi or other network interfaces are present on this board.

Rugged enclosure and rail mounting

The board is housed in a rugged ABS plastic case designed for DIN-rail installation inside control cabinets. High-quality relays and bi-directional optocoupler isolation protect the logic side from high-voltage transients on the field side. Power and magnetic isolation, a TVS diode and a resettable fuse add over-current and over-voltage protection. Multiple status LEDs show MCU and signal activity for quick diagnostics.
